This is a like new hardcover with dust jacket. 1979 Studio Book The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Viking Press. It is crisp and clean inside. No writing, marks seen. Binding is tight and straight as new. Green cloth hardcover boards under dust jacket as like new, embossed with pattern making this a handsome hardcover. Dust jacket is very good, clean and shiny with a hint of shelf wear from display along top edge. Overall, jacket clean and shiny very good with only a hint of shelf wear.

The illustrations in this book are reproduced directly from those in the lavish numbered edition published in Paris. The copy of the original edition which this book has been reproduced from is in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This new edition makes it possible for a new generation of readers to enjoy an illustrated masterpiece.
