This is a wonderful collectible hardcover. NO dust jacket as issued by publisher. 1946 Grosset & Dunlap Publishing. Very clean inside. Light natural tanning to pages from age but still crisp and clean inside. There is no foxing to pages and the binding is tight and straight. Blue tipped page edges. Wonderfully illustrated with both black & white and full color illustrations by John Tenniel.
This beloved tale is told in this 1946 edition for Illustrated Jr. Library. Wonderful illustrations in color and black and white sketches help bring the story to life. Alice goes down the rabbit-hole and finds herself in Wonderland. This edition is sure to please any collector or any reader of any age. This copy is clean and unmarked, but there is a lovely poinsettia sticker inside the rear endpaper with a neatly written sentence " now isn't that a good story?" No other marks etc seen. Includes both Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. Full color illustrated frontispiece and back featuring all the characters Alice encounters on her journey.
