The original book was designed by the master of mechanical picture books, Lothar Meggendorfer and first published in 1887 in Munich Germany. The book presents a true panorama in die-cut shapes and can be set up in varied arrangements offering many different scenic views.
this copy is in good condition. Inside the die-cuts are very good, bright and clean, and colorful. You must carefully separate the die-cut pages and we have tried to photograph them as set up in one arrangement. The cover front and back of the book is a hardcover with light shelf wear to corners from display. This is truly a rare collectible even in this reprint edition from 1981.
